Simple Fish In Plum and Ginger Sauce

  • 300 g fish
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp plum juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 Shiitake mushroom optional
  • 1 tbsp green onion cut into pieces
  • 1 celery cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp ginger
  • 1 tsp black pepper


Making the Plum Sauce

  • In a wok, heat up the oil, and sauté the onion over a low heat
  • Add the plum juice, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger, water, black pepper and mushrooms
  • Let the mixture simmer for about 1 minute

Pan Fry the Fish

  • Set the temperature to a low heat
  • Pour the plum sauce over the fish
  • Cover the wok and simmer for about 2 minutes
  • Add the chopped celery and green onion
