Simple Fish In Plum and Ginger Sauce
Fish in Plum and Ginger Sauce embodies simplicity and flavour. It shows how a few choice ingredients can be a meal that is high in both taste and nutrition.
Ingredients
- 300 g fish
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp plum juice
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp onion chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 Shiitake mushroom optional
- 1 tbsp green onion cut into pieces
- 1 celery cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp ginger
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Making the Plum Sauce
- In a wok, heat up the oil, and sauté the onion over a low heat
- Add the plum juice, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger, water, black pepper and mushrooms
- Let the mixture simmer for about 1 minute
Pan Fry the Fish
- Set the temperature to a low heat
- Pour the plum sauce over the fish
- Cover the wok and simmer for about 2 minutes
- Add the chopped celery and green onion
